No classes on Friday so the other teachers and I hire a tuk tuk for the day and head to the tranquil Blue Lagoon. As in Viet Nam the alkaline limestone of the karst with the slight acidity of water combine to create blue water.
We did not join the matcho guys jumping from the tree or swinging out on the rope, preferring to work on our tans.
We hang out, get some sun, cool off in the chilly waters. and later have some lunch at Saelaoproject, another volunteer run farm project started by a Lao/Canadian.
