Paddling down a canal we saw water coconuts, that lumpy sphere on the end of a stalk

visited a coconut candy factory, rode in a horse cart

had a lovely al fresco lunch

met Claire from Cornwall who's traveling alone

and the local farm help taking a break from plowing rice paddy,

The Mekong produces three crops of rice per year. Plenty to export and feed its people who are industrious, hard working, energetic, with Can Do attitudes.

We bid farewell to the Delta and fly on to Hoi An via Danang for a little rain and experience of the "midlands"
