On to Hue

We left our country setting and headed north through Danang and around its Bay after a thoroughly tasty Congee and fruit breakfast on the roof.

Danang Bay took about an hour to get around, thas the city - with many wedding/banquet halls -on the south of the Bay

While north looks at the Hai Van Pass which we climb stopping at the top along with every tourist on the coast, and as many hawkers, all of them supporting families and three months pregnant!. i wonder who wrote their script.

,We also got to see both French and American bunkers at the top

But the real treat was the view down the other side towards Hue.

Once in town i wondered around a bit to get my bearings and views of the Perfume river. Wandering is best at night, where here too we find a park along the river, this one complete with a night market selling useful items like coats and hats (at 65 the locals are finding it a bit cold) and trinkets. Later on come the food stalls with all manner of clam, mussel, oyster, snail - tiny and big ones-and other delicacies.

I have a feeling another cooking class is calling my name.
