
From those just beginning to walk headed for the uncle Ho statue, to older siblings riding their two wheelers with training wheels.

Sometimes with Mom, Aunty and grannies in tow, often with proud Papas-some with big cameras recording those precious early steps; or just being lovingly carried and shown the river.
Other older children are working the crowds selling peanuts.
Yet other little ones share the
Scooter ride home jammed between parents wearing respiratory masks. Kids too might
have mosquito netting over their heads.... Not sure what that accomplishes since we haven't seen any of he winged demons here.
I'll smile and wave or sometimes they will initiate contact which is lovely. Most of the people strolling about the waterfront don't notice me, they have their own agendas and I'm just part of the scenery. There are tourists here from all over- very few Yanks.
