Major hassle IN SJC with American Airlines: I have a Thai visa for 30 days and will be returning 84 days after arriving. The in and out reservations to Viet Nam and Myanmar weren't good enough to prove I wouldn't be in Thailand longer than 30 days. The truth is, as an American I don't even NEED a visa for Thailand and every time I enter I get another 30 day stay gratis.
After the AA supervisor scolding the expedia folks who issued my in and out passages without any ticket numbers, he looked at all my confirmations and decided I was good to go and Expedia ought to get flogged.
I figured it was a test of my determination to actually get to Asia. For those familiar with the drama of my last trip to Bkk, I hope I don't have to keep repeating this Groundhog Day experience ;-)
