Caves

Yesterday we'd been on a boat trip to Phong Nha caves.

During the American War the VC had a pontoon bridge that they hid in the cave during the day and pulled out at night to transport supplies down the Ho Chi Minh trail. The Americans couldn't figure out how supplies kept coming until one night they set off flairs and discovered the cave hiding place. Phong Nha means dragons mouth, there were stalagmites at the mouth looking like dragons teeth, that were knocked out by US rockets.

I was impressed enough with this place, but its nothing compared to Paradise cave.
