The information window had run out of maps, but they produced the keys and flashlight which I'd let fall from my lap a week earlier!!! (On picking me up in Ubon Jamlong and I first had to stop at a Home Depot type store to cut off the old suitcase lock and buy a new one. )
Thai people can be a pain pushing into line in person or with their cars, but honesty reigns in the rail road station and I bless the sweet person who turned in my keys to the right place, where I could retrieve them.
Its children's day all over Thailand today. We saw kids in the backs of pick-ups heading into town both Ubon and Bkk. The air fields were open for them to crawl around and inspect planes as well as witness fly overs by jets, stadiums and parks had carnivals and music events, and all roads were crowded.
I did get in one last tranquil visit with Prajuab. She's not so frail as I'd feared, but actually rather resilient; feeding her chickens twice a day, raking the leaves which accumulate and watering her stag horn and other rare species of plants and resting in between....sounds kind of normal.

I'm so blessed to have such sweet friends half way around the world and at home as well. Life is way good...now all I need is some wifi and you'll know it too.
