We were soooooo cold in Sapa in January - they were having an exceptional cold spell. Bought knock off north face parka, hat and mits. We stayed in bed 12 hours because the bed had an electric mattress pad and the room was very cold. Of course our treks out to see the ethnic groups were wonderful. The falls were very clouded in but did make for some nice pictures.
