The colors of foods are always of interest to me as well as the tastes. I'm writing this from Hanoi where our lovely hotel Charming staff have noted my delight with street foods. One of them just brought me a couple of fried dumplings with vermicelli and mushrooms dipped in a salty/hot broth. All manner of "Banh" fried dough or sticky rice things abound here.
But back to the fresh market in Sapa.

Greens of all kinds of course,and fruits and chilies are a given



Also on offer, cow bells, similar to the ones worn by Thai water buffalo, scorpion wine and oddments.
