Fruit & fish

Happy Valentines Day

I neglected to save this photo yesterday. Today is grey and rainy but David has been for swim twice in their pool already. At 95 he's still very active physically.

The Humuhumunukanukaapuaa in tile work in the pool keeps one company!!

Sunrise

This morning as Margaret joined her paddle buddies to circumnavigate the island I strolled the beach and enjoyed the sunrise.

Later David took us to lunch at his favorite Chinese restaurant where the ample servings provided enough food for dinner as well.
Thursday is farmers market day just down the street. In addition to tuber roses which delight us with their fragrance I bought rambutan and that molasses flavored fruit I discovered in Viet Nam here called Chico! Yummy!

Daily walks around Kapiolani Park opportunities to sing and acknowledge the Great Trees.

And the latest group of Asian Harley fans roaring by while being filmed as proof of their exploits!

Josette feeling well enough to greet the passing world in front of their house while "rent a dog" Daisy May guards. And chances to catch the sunset daily.

Die hard surfers still hoping for a final wave before true dark.

2014 travels to Hawaii

Wonderful to be in a warm clime and happy to reconnect with old friends from 50 years ago. Enjoying the gracious hospitality of Josette and Lou in the shadow of Diamond Head and the antics on a walk to Waikiki.

Diamond Head looms behind the house and the Pacific opens before us across the street.
